Meet Running Wolf

Hello, I’m Keron Dufresne… but most people know me as Running Wolf.

If you’ve found your way here, welcome. I’m glad our paths have crossed.

My love for natural wellness didn’t begin in a classroom, it began in the woods.

As a child, I spent countless hours exploring forests, watching wildlife, and wondering why certain plants grew where they did. That curiosity never left me. It simply grew into a lifelong passion for understanding how nature, science, and the human body work together.

Today, I am a Clinical Certified Herbalist, Certified Aromatherapist, Certified CARE Instructor in the Raindrop Technique, wellness coach, and lifelong student of natural health. My educational journey has taken me through Western herbalism with 7Song at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine, Native traditions with Ojibwa and Cherokee teachers, Methodology Coaching with Dr. Enolia Pedro Harris, and Cannabis Healthcare and Medicine through Syracuse University.

Earlier in my career, I spent two years pursuing a Doctor of Naturopathy program through Clayton College of Natural Health. Although the college unexpectedly closed before I could complete my doctorate, the education I received strengthened my foundation in holistic health, nutrition, and natural healing. Rather than discouraging me, it inspired me to continue learning throughout my life.

But credentials only tell part of my story.

Life has been my greatest teacher.

I’ve walked through seasons of loss, foster care, chronic illness, abusive relationships, homelessness, caregiving, rebuilding, and learning to begin again. Those experiences shaped the way I serve others—with compassion instead of judgment, education instead of fear, and hope instead of pressure.

I’m fascinated by where ancient wisdom meets modern science.

I don’t believe anyone knows everything. That’s why I continue to study, ask questions, and learn from researchers, practitioners, Native elders, and nature itself. Every new lesson helps me better serve the people who place their trust in me.

Whether I’m reading the latest scientific research, attending wellness conferences, asking one more question than anyone else in the room, or harvesting medicinal plants in the forest, I’m always learning. I believe we honor Creator by continuing to grow in knowledge while respecting the wisdom that has been passed down through generations.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me fly fishing a quiet stream, kayaking peaceful waterways, hiking woodland trails, wildcrafting medicinal plants, creating herbal tinctures, tending my gardens, spending time with my grandchildren, or simply sitting in nature listening to what Creation has to teach. The outdoors has always been my classroom, my sanctuary, and a constant reminder that healing happens one season at a time.

My own journey of wellness has taught me that change is possible at any stage of life. After menopause, I transformed my health by losing more than 50 pounds, rebuilding my strength, and rediscovering the energy to fully enjoy life again. That experience deepened my passion for helping women and men over 50 create lasting, sustainable wellness through practical daily choices.

My mission is simple.

To educate instead of pressure.

To encourage instead of judge.

To help people understand their bodies so they can make informed decisions that support lifelong health.
